The best part of being a student is the summer break. But when you're an MFA candidate in poetry there are no breaks, merely caesuras. And so it is that six poets from UM-St. Louis' MFA graduate program — Kelli Allen, Brit Blasingame, Joe Grailer, Will Kyle, Kerstin Parmley and Jen Tappenden — will read their works at this evening's Poetry at the Point
, with UMSL professor Steve Schreiner acting as host. Readings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Focal Point (2720 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood; 314-973-0616 or www.stlouispoetrycenter.org
). Admission is free.
