Go Wild for Cocoa

The nights are getting colder, which is all the excuse anyone ever needs for hot chocolate. But if you want to earn that cocoa, you'll get out in the cold for a few hours so those cheeks are legitimately rosy. Wild Lights at the zoo gives you both reason and reward. Brave the elements to enjoy the Christmas light displays, rides on the Conservation Carousel ($3 per ride), a 10 percent discount at the gift shop and fireside storytellers at the Zoo this year. That fireside would be a good place to enjoy your much-deserved hot chocolate, eh? Wild Lights at the zoo is open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday (November 29 through December 22), and then is open Thursday through Monday (December 26 through 30) at the Saint Louis Zoo in Forest Park (314-781-0900 or www.stlzoo.org). Admission is $4 to $5.
Fridays-Sundays; Dec. 26-30. Starts: Nov. 29. Continues through Dec. 23, 2013
