Dying to buy

By now you must know that the Rock 'n' Roll Craft Show is one of the hippest shopping experiences around. At the annual event, local bands rock out, as the name suggests, and the crafts offered up are just so, so cool. This year the extravaganza is held at the Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard; www.rocknrollcraftshow.com) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (November 28 through 30). Gift items from more than 120 artists and crafters will be available for purchase — we always gravitate toward Meghan McGlynn's declarative magnets, handmade stationary by Janice Wallace and wood cutting boards by Newberry Furniture & Kitchen Accessories, but we're sure to find some new faves this year among all the jewelry offerings, baby goods, artwork, home-décor items and more! Admission to the show costs $10 on Friday, but that's because we'll all be getting first dibs on the merch and access to an after-party at the Bluebird (2706 Olive Street); admission the rest of the weekend costs $2.
