Happy Birthday, Vincent

Everybody knows about Vincent Price, “horror star.” Fewer know about Vincent Price, “culinary expert” or Vincent Price, “art enthusiast;” and it’s an even smaller pool of people who know about Vincent Price, “father.” Tonight, on the 100th anniversary of Vincent Price’s birth, Victoria Price presents The Vincent Price Legacy: Reflections From a Daughter, a multimedia presentation in which she'll share insights about Vincent's life on and off the screen, plus priceless details about her father's childhood in St. Louis, such as how the purchase of a Rembrandt etching from a local art dealer at age twelve set him on a course to become one of Hollywood's greatest art collectors. Vincent himself will also be in attendance -- sort of -- as actor John Contini performs Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” in character as père Price. Help celebrate the life of Vincent Price at 7 p.m. in the Missouri History Museum's Lee Auditorium (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue). Admission is free.
