For starters, you should know by now that you could fill a book with all of the good things about the Gateway Men's Chorus — after all, for more than twenty years, the group has been singing for St. Louisans. If you're still not familiar with the chanteurs, let their upcoming concerts serve as your introduction. At 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (June 17 and 18), GMC presents Boys Don't Cry to close out its season. Now, this won't be a concert full of songs by the Cure (though that would be pretty cool). Instead, the men, along with Grammy-winning soprano Christine Brewer, present something even more universally pleasing: an evening of love songs to touch everyone in that sweet spot. From ABBA to Michael Bublé, and from David Bowie to Dinah Washington, this show offers up plenty of variety and all in perfect key and harmony — and with a little pizzazz and fun thrown in, too. Tickets to Boys Don't Cry cost $20 to $25 (visit www.gatewaymenschorus.org), and the shows are held at the 560 Music Center (560 Trinity Avenue, University City).
