Feel the love

Ah, to fall in love! That smile that just won't fade, that sweet song in the air, that all-over tingly feeling: Yes, falling in love is fab! For some the warm, fuzzy feelings are recent and fresh — lucky them! — and these folks will certainly be able to appreciate the final show in Spotlight Theatre's Cabaret Series, Love Songs from American Musical Theatre. While listening to Pamela Reckamp (pictured) and John Flack perform numbers including "I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy" and "People Will Say," plus others from productions like West Side Story and I Do! I Do!, the lovebirds can wrap themselves up in the dreaminess of it all and tenderly grasp the hands of their adoring partners. But for those of you whose loverliness is much further in the past and whose memories are fading fast, a show like this might help to keep the fire alive — and, who knows, you just might meet someone! The only way to know is to go. Performances happen at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday (November 20 through 23) at the Kranzberg Arts Center Studio Theatre (501 North Grand Boulevard), and tickets cost $20 at 314-412-6848 or www.spotlighttheatrestlonline.org.
