Hungry Turkey 5k

We all know that your plans to "run five miles" after dinner are for naught; so why not at least try to make good on it by getting a 5k in before the damage is done? The Hungry Turkey 5k kicks off bright and early at 7:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, looping from 16th and Market streets to the Eads Bridge and back. Racers twelve and younger are free, and everyone who registers gets a race bib with chip timing — which, if you're feeling adventurous, can even double as a real bib once you sit down to dine. 7:30 a.m., Thu., Nov. 27. 16th & Market streets (www.thehungryturkey.com). $37-$42.
