Modern versions of '80s styles are appearing on the fashion runways, and things are heating up like a Hypercolor T-shirt in a middle-school gym. Pigments that pop, shiny patent leather — it's all back, but with a grown-up spin. To heat up St. Louis fashion while supporting Heat-Up St. Louis, the glamorous folks at Alive magazine have teamed up with Macy's and Lori Coulter, local custom swimsuiter, to showcase spring 2007 fashion at Glow. The runway event happens at 7 p.m. this evening at the Roberts Orpheum Theater (416 North Ninth Street). Food by Mosaic and performances by Motion Express Dance & Acrobatics and the Clayton Symphony Orchestra spice up the couture. Tickets are $25 (buy 'em quick — this show will probably sell out), and you'll find more information at www.alivemag.com.

And for a fashion warm-up before Glow, head to the St. Louis Centre Macy's at 601 Olive Street for a preview party featuring the INC spring collection. RSVP for this part of the fun by calling Macy's at 314-444-2665; the free pre-party starts at 6 p.m.
