One of the best things to happen to St. Louis this year was the reopening of the Peabody Opera House. This lovely venue kicked off its second life with a Wilco show in October, and now it brings an 85-foot-by-55 foot ice skating rink to the heart of downtown.
The Rink at Monsanto Grove at Peabody Opera House (across the street in Schiller Park, at Fourteenth and Market streets) is a great spot to take the kids for a fun, active outing or to show off a beautiful view of our city to out-of-towners. The rink is open seven days a week and features music, food and beverages. Admission is $6, and skate rental is just $4. For more information and hours of operation, call 314-622-5454 or visit
