If Only the Night Would Go On and On ...

The band Journey couldn't have picked a more appropriate name. Not only does this group continue to rock the United States, its fantastic presence can be felt around the globe; the power of its songs journeys, if you will, an-y-where — even to places like India. Don't believe us? Well, how else are you going to explain Dances of India's performance to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" during the upcoming Arts Alive! dance concert? Instead of trying to figure out the mystery that is Journey's worldwide domination, just accept that this show will be awesome. The concert happens at 7 p.m. at the Purser Center at Logan College (1851 Schoettler Road, Chesterfield), and the company plans to debut two new works: one set to traditional music and the kickass aforementioned piece set to a fusion of Journey's beloved song with Hindi lyrics. To get your tickets to this unusual night of Indian dance, call Chesterfield Arts at 636-519-1955 or visit www.chesterfieldarts.org; admission costs $5 to $10.
