It's a nightmare situation that would give even Gregor Samsa the willies: You enter a vast chamber, and 3,000 insects swarm you and begin tasting you with their feet. Oh, sure, they're beautiful insects — Blue Morpho butterflies from South America, with generous wingspans of iridescent cerulean flashing in the sun — but you're still outnumbered by bugs. March Morpho Mania returns to the Butterfly House (15193 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield; 636-530-0076 or www.butterflyhouse.org), offering kids and parents the chance to prove their bravery by wading into a storm of exotic butterflies in the tropical conservatory. Admission is $4 to $6. The Butterfly House is open Tuesday through Sunday, and the Morphos will be flying through Thursday, March 31.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: March 1. Continues through March 31, 2011
