Now, if a little bit of free dance gets you excited, what would you say if we told you that there were eight straight hours of free dance on Saturday? Hopefully, you'd feel lucky, because St. Louis certainly is fortunate to have such an active, talented dance community. To revel in the awesomeness, head down to Grand Center (North Grand and Washington boulevards) at 1 p.m. for Dancing in the Street. This free fest showcases dance of all kinds -- hip-hip, contemporary, ballet, tap, participatory (learn this year's group dance through the video here: www.vimeo.com/28727744), you name it -- performed by almost 700 local and regional dancers on four stages. And as if that weren't enough, Kansas City's Quixotic Fusion performs at 3 and 7:30 p.m. on the exterior of the Grandel Theatre, sometimes dancing as high as 50 feet in the air, adding a can't-miss element to an already can't-miss event.
