If you're looking to mix a bit of local history into your holiday spirit, turn off the telly (Rudolph and the Grinch will be on again in a few hours), put on your scarf and mittens, and head to the historic Hanley House Museum (7600 Westmoreland Avenue, Clayton). Tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., you can tour the Victorian farm house by candlelight, and appreciate the 19th-century furnishings and décor just as people did in Christmases past. You'll also enjoy carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides, costumed interpreters (they'll make sure your wattles keep up with your twinklers) and traditional holiday decorations created by Scott Hepper of Straub's and the Clayton Garden Club. Admission is $5 to $12. For more information, call 314-290-8500 or visit www.centerofclayton.com.
