Are you loud, lusty and prone to ripping your shirt in fits of emotional turmoil? You might have what it takes to win this year's Stella! Shouting Contest.

The contest is a tie-in to the second annual Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis. It's a cheeky take on the most famous scene from the film adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire, in which a smoldering Stanley Kowalski (Marlon Brando at peak machismo) cries out his wife's name because he doesn't have the words to ask for her forgiveness. Participants will be judged by a panel of hand-picked experts who are perhaps looking for perhaps a sense of ineffable regret, as well as volume.

The shout-off starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at .Zack (3224 Locust Street), and entrants must be 21 or older. Email [email protected] to get on the list. Winner gets a case of Stella Artois, naturally.
