A pair of vertigo-inducing videos has been making the rounds of Facebook this week of a man standing on top of the Gateway Arch.

His name is Kirk Futrell and, judging by his hat, he appears to work for the the National Parks Service.

Futrell posted the videos to his Facebook page last week and they've been catching attention ever since. In the comments on the video, he explains that he was up there because he's an employee doing routine inspections and that he got access out of the hatch at the top of the Arch. And, yes, he is wearing a safety harness.

These surreal videos thrill some viewers — even as others are saying "hell no." As Futrell spins around and the wind whips loudly, you can see for miles into both Missouri and Illinois.

Futrell's videos and apparent nonchalance instantly reminded us of the classic local commercial for the since-shuttered Becky's Carpet & Tile Superstore.

You can watch the videos below, but beware: Some report that they produce nausea.

But check out how happy he looks up there! Hey Kirk, take us with you!
