Hold onto your hats, dear readers, because we are about to blow your minds: Mardi Gras is not just about beads and fleshly pursuits. You can celebrate the purple, green and gold holiday more respectfully — and more charitably, too. Shocking, right? Minds Eye Information Service, a nonprofit radio-reading service for the blind (www.mindseyeradio.org), hosts its sixth annual Soiree pour la Vue Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser at Moulin Events & Meetings (2017 Chouteau Avenue). Beginning at 6 p.m., you'll taste wines, bid on auction items (plane and theater tickets, wine baskets and more), dance a bit, hang out with meteorologist Mike Roberts (your host for the night) and catch an awesome Bob Kramer Marionnettes show — all very classy, all super fun.
