Mazed and Corn-fused

Get lost in Godfrey

Sep 3, 2008 at 4:00 am
Like deliciously ripe homegrown tomatoes, the Great Godfrey Maze is only around for a limited amount of time each year. The corn stalks in Glazebrook Park (1401 Stamper Lane, Godfrey, Illinois) have been cut to reveal not only a maze but also a safari scene, and you can try to navigate through more than two miles of trails beginning Friday, September 5. During the opening-night festivities, Madagascar will be screened around 8 p.m., the giraffe train will be running, and faces will get painted. Admission is free to watch the film, but exploring the maze will cost you extra ($4 to $6). The corny fun continues on the weekends through Sunday, October 26; call 618-466-1483 or visit www.greatgodfreymaze.com for operating hours and more information.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 5. Continues through Oct. 26, 2008
