One More Game

Please let Thicke and Janssen drop the gloves

The Stanley Cup has finally been awarded (to a team that shall remain nameless), which means we're officially in the long, dark intermission period between the end of last season and the start of a new, shiny season that will hopefully turn out much better for the St. Louis Blues. Before you even have the chance to enter the first stages of hockey withdrawal, those same Blues step up to hip-check you with one last fix: the first-ever St. Louis Hockeyfest. These three days (Friday through Sunday, June 20 through 22) of hockey-related fun and frivolity at Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; 314-241-1888 or www.scottradecenter.com) start with an NHL draft party from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday where you can mingle with Blues alumni and watch the draft on the big screen, and end with a memorabilia and autograph show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The big, creamy center of the weekend is the All-Star Game at 7 p.m. Saturday, wherein current players (St. Louis Game Time favorite David Perron!) and alumni (Bernie Federko! Tyson Nash?) take on celebrities: celebrities such as beloved TV dad and hardcore hockey fan Alan Thicke (scheduled to appear). Oh, game on, Jason Seaver! Tickets are $20 for the All-Star Game alone, or you can buy an all-inclusive three-day pass (good for the game, the draft party and an autograph session) for $40.
