Orange You Glad You Know Julius?

Mr. Hunter, on the record

Newbie St. Louisans have a tough time. They can't answer the high school question, and they might not even know who Julius Hunter is. Of course, lifers are more than familiar with the former broadcast journalist and local public figure, and we've watched him interview all manner of people (including Jimmy Hoffa, Bette Midler and Bill Clinton) — but that's not to say we can't know more. Tonight, all St. Louisans can gather to meet Mr. Hunter and hear some of his tales as he reads from and signs Julius Hunter: TV One-on-One at the Central branch of the St. Louis Public Library (1301 Olive Street; 314-241-2288 or www.slpl.org). The free event runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and books will be available for purchase.
