Ornamental Art

The holidays are a time for traditions and old favorites, but it's a good idea to mix in a few new things as well. Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard; 314-367-4527 or www.stlglass.com) this year combines an old favorite -- its hand-blown glass ornaments -- with a new twist: a series of signature ornaments. The Third Degrees glass artists have created a limited series of unique ornaments that are signed and dated by their creators. Tonight from 6 to 9 p.m., these lovely baubles are made available to the public for the first time, and some of the artisans will demonstrate how their designs are made. Admission is free, but bring money -- the new line is boxed and ready to go.
