Over the Rainbow

Traveling from hostile storms and oppressive climes in the Midwest to a magical land where troubles melt like lemon drops might always sound appealing, but in 106 degree St. Louis heat it's especially enticing. Journey with Dorothy Gale and Toto to the Emerald City with Family Musical Theater's latest production, The Wizard of Oz. This theatrical interpretation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel premieres tonight at 8 p.m.; performances continue through July 29 (Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.) at the Ivory Theatre (7620 Michigan Avenue; 314-631-8330) -- you can look that up on Google Maps, or just follow the yellow brick road.
