Good morning St. Louis!

Here's what you may have missed over the weekend...

Post-Dispatch Layoffs Sting Employees

On Friday morning, news leaked that the Post-Dispatch had given seventeen employees two-weeks' notice -- the latest development in the papers' recent decline. And that's not the worst of it, the entire West County bureau closed up shop for good as well. It's enough to make citizens sick -- and probably a few Post employees, judging from this cover of the paper's "Go!" supplement.

Milano 'Touches' Fans

Slide Show Needless to say, the mood was a lot more, umm perky on Friday afternoon, just a few blocks south of the Post-Dispatch at Busch Stadium. Why the smiles? Why, Alyssa Milano, the spunky-turned-hot-turned-athlete dater was meeting with Cardinals fans. Milano was here to push her line of major league baseball clothing for women, called Touch. We've posted a slide show of the event, which drew throngs of female and male fans.

Marceau Swimsuit Collection at VooDoo Lounge

Slide Show On Friday night, the Marceau Swimsuit Collection made its St. Louis debut at VooDoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino. Besides the leggy models on hand to to strut around in bikinis that made a splash at this year's Miami Fashion Week, DJ-Model-Actress Caroline D’Amore was there spin records suitable for ogling. We've posted a slide show of practical and not-so-practical swimwear -- with plenty of time before your holiday vacation to Miami.

Riddle of Steel at Bluebird Slide Show

Slide Show St. Louis' own Riddle of Steel (voted "Best Old Band" recently by the way) allegedly rocked for the final time on Saturday night at Bluebird. They packed the Olive Street venue and got the place hot -- both figuratively and literally. If you were wondering what a St. Louis rock show in 2008 looks like, we've posted a slide show.
