Hold on to your togas and laurel wreaths, ancient-studies fans, have we got an event for you. Tonight at 7:30 p.m. a very special movie, Pompeii from the British Museum, will be shown in more than 460 theaters nationwide. This is a film of the blockbuster museum exhibition, Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum, which has knocked out both spectators and a unanimous horde of UK and European media reviewers during its residency at the British Museum in London. The exhibit, and resultant film, focuses attention on the daily lives of citizens of the Roman city of Pompeii and the seaside town of Herculaneum two millennia prior to the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. This unique film experience is showing at only two theaters in our area, Regal O'Fallon Stadium 14 (900 Caledonia Drive, O'Fallon, Missouri) and Regal Gravois Bluffs Stadium 12 (754 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, Fenton). Tickets are $15. For further information visit www.fathomevents.com.
