Potter Heads Unite!

At their simplest, the Harry Potter books make all the magic of childhood come true: flying broomsticks, magic wands, spells, dragons, etc. But beneath the surface, these novels deal with the very real battle between good and evil. Of course, rabid fans know this, but the uninitiated Harry Potterans out there might not be convinced that the children's books (ha!) are as brilliant as all good Muggles proclaim them to be. Maybe if these nonbelievers watched the movie version of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire on the big screen — and we're talking about the really big screen — things would change for them. So all of you out there sporting the red and gold, find a skeptical friend, and bring him or her to the Saint Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4400). That's where the aforementioned film is screening at the OMNIMAX Theater Friday through Sunday until November 19 (visit www.slsc.org for times). Tickets cost $8 to $10, and be prepared to loan your well-worn HP books to the converts after the movie.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 3. Continues through Nov. 19
