Reunited and It Feels So Good

Reunions can be tough. Everyone is angling to outshine former acquaintances, most people drink a little (or a lot) too much, and a few folks always care more than they should about the past. Of course, these events can be fun, too, as long as you’re focused on catching up with old friends and just enjoying the night out. At the Velvet Reunion Party happening tonight at Dante’s (3221 Olive Street), having an excellent time should be easy. DJs Marc Buxton and Dave Audé see to it that the music vibe is on par with how it was back in Velvet’s heyday, and you, the once-devoted patrons of the now-shuttered great club on Washington Avenue, still know how to keep it real. The party lasts from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., and tickets cost $10 to $15 at (And don’t feel bad if you never had a chance to go to Velvet; you are still welcome to show us how you would have partied there at this late-night soiree.)
