Sing a Song of Pizza

The St. Louis Pizza Haus (6602 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-862-4287 or www.stlouispizzahaus.com) is not only a house of yummy pizzas (Leroy’s Special is one hell of a special), but it’s also the place to go if you want to perform. Every Monday, the Loop eatery hosts an open-mic night that encourages you to bring your best stuff, whether you’re an established singer, an up-and-coming rapper, a witty comedian, an untrained actor or any other kind of performer. The mic is on from 7 to 10 p.m., and during that time, a variety of specials are offered, depending upon what the spins of the “Pizza Wheel” show. Will there be cheap beers or wings? More poets or beatboxers? How many slices of pepperoni will you eat? Will someone sing “That’s Amore?” Every Monday night is different, but the pizza always tastes good.
