Somewhere over North Grand

Oz comes to life

The 1939 release The Wizard of Oz, in all of its restored glory, will be screened this weekend at Powell Symphony Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard). And while watching this gorgeous version of the film in such a glorious setting is a treat in and of itself, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra is performing the score live for Judy Garland, Bert Lahr and all the audience members. Concert screenings happen at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday (December 27 and 28), and tickets run from $35 to $80 (they're going fast!). For additional information call the box office at 314-534-1700 or visit www.slso.org.
