Since it's fall again it must be time to get lost -- lost amid the corn stalks, that is. The
Great Godfrey Maze in Glazebrook Park (1401 Stamper Lane, Godfrey, Illinois; 618-466-3324 or
www.godfreyil.org) is one of those local autumn traditions that's probably very easy to take for granted, but that's no reason to skip the drive east to experience the corny labyrinth for yourself, especially if you have young kids. The Maze is two paths cut into seven acres of corn, and if you've ever walked down even just a row or two of tall corn you'll know that seven acres of the stuff is plenty sufficient to get thoroughly lost in -- but therein lies the fun. Godfrey's premier fall attraction is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Sunday October 27; tickets are only $4 to $6 with kids ages five and younger getting in free.
