The road to the catwalk is no cakewalk. From sock-and-sandal atrocities to overhanging flab spilling out of too-tight waistlines, St. Louis is a city overflowing with fashion faux pas. Those seeking guidance need look no further than the 26 forward-thinking fashion students of Washington University who have been sharpening their skills and their scissors to make the 85th Annual Fashion Design Show a runaway runway success. The doors of the 560 Music Center (560 Trinity Avenue, University City) open tonight at 5:30 p.m., and admission is $50 to $65. For the full-on fashionista, Designer's Circle and Haute Couture reserved seating are also available ($150 and $500, respectively).
