Summer Jam

Aug 18, 2010 at 4:00 am
Summer's drawing to a close, but there's still time to have a good time if you know where to look. The Saint Louis zoo, for instance, offers up Jammin' At The Zoo, a party filled with wine, food, music and animals, all for $10 at the door (free admission for Zoo members). Musical guests such as Hudson & the HooDoo Cats, Fat Pocket and Kim Massie will get the wildlife wiggling, and plenty of food and drink will be available for purchase (outside alcohol is forbidden, but you can bring your own food if you like). For an additional fee ($10 to $20), party animals can partake in an extensive wine-tasting jubilee, featuring more than 200 wines from 50 wineries. With so many adult beverages on hand, the celebration is intended for guests age 21 and older, so leave the cubs at home. Come rain or shine, the Jam will swing into action tonight between 6 and 10 p.m. For more information call 314-646-4771 or visit www.stlzoo.org
