The Dark Knight Rises

The reviews are unanimous in praise for the finale of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Aside from being a dark and intriguing superhero (who's not "super" so much as crazy-rich and emboldened by rage), DC Comics' bad boy has enjoyed a renewed interest thanks to the brilliant portrayals in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and, finally, The Dark Knight Rises (sans pronounced rubber nipples, thankfully). By now, you've likely immersed yourself in the Gotham gloom at a theater near you, but you haven't really witnessed the dark knight rising until you've seen him do so on the larger-than-life screen at the St. Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4424). Catch an Omnimax screening of The Dark Knight Rises now through August 19; showtimes vary. For more information, visit www.slsc.org.
