After gorging yourself five times a day for weeks, you are now hooked on the snacks. But sadly, you couldn't cook up one more treat. To get your hands on the already-made good stuff, head over to Provisions Gourmet Market & Gifts (11615 Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur; 314-989-0020 or www.provisionsmarket.com), where all manner of yumminess abounds, from hot sandwiches to pastries and desserts. And not only is this place serving up delicious foods, but the artwork hung here serves to help you open your eyes a bit wider than your mouth (for a change). Gena Allen's black-and-white photography show, entitled High on a Hill: Inside the St. Louis State Hospital Dome, features interior shots of the ominous-yet-strikingly beautiful (at least, on the outside) former state mental hospital located on Arsenal Street. These haunting images of rarely seen corners remind us of our city's long-ago and not-so-distant past and give voice to people who once called this domed building home. High on a Hill remains up until Saturday, January 5, and Provisions is open Monday through Saturday.
