Come work with us.
The
Riverfront Times is seeking an additional intern for the fall 2017 semester, as well as two or three interns for the spring semester. Our remaining fall opening is for a photo intern. For spring, we will be hiring for a wide variety of interests — if you want to write about food, news, the arts or music or if you're interested in photojournalism, we may well have a place for you.
A few notes:
You must be a current college student.
You must be able to work out of our office in
Downtown West (yes, we've left the Loop!) at least two days a week and ideally be able to also drive to assignments on occasion on those two days.
You must be able to spend about eight to twelve hours a week with us. We are willing to work with additional requirements from your college or university if you're seeking course credit (although such credit is not required).
These are great internships for students who have a passionate for breaking news, writing and photography. We will not be asking you fetch our coffee or transcribe our interviews. Instead, you'll be working closely with an editor to write and/or photograph stories for the
RFT, earning bylines and photo credits.
If you're interested, please send a cover letter, resume and three examples of published work to
[email protected]. We will be filling fall internships by the first week of September and spring ones by December, so keep that in mind when submitting your materials or emailing us to inquire.
