When Musicals Attack kills and kills again

Jan 4, 2006 at 4:00 am
Years of living in the Midwest have taught us all that when the tornado sirens wail, it's time to head for the basement. Years of watching FOX have taught us all that when animals attack, it's time to change the channel. But does anyone know what to do When Musicals Attack? It's simple, really. You call 314-534-1111 and buy a $10 ticket. Then, at 8 p.m., head to the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; www.newlinetheatre.com), where you get to enjoy the latest installment of the New Line Theatre Cabaret. This year's assault features songs from Ragtime, Urinetown and the ever-popular Batboy (which returns to the New Line stage later in February), as well as the shoulda-been-a-classic "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" from the scandalously funny Avenue Q. Oh, and just for you folks who love to be more than adequately prepared, the show plays again at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10; thanks, New Line!
