This Weekend, Life is a Cabaret

Put down the knitting, the book and the broom -- the St. Louis Cabaret Conference and the Presenters Dolan have assembled an impeccable lineup of talent for a wild and woolly three-night holiday at the Bistro at Grand Center (3536 Washington Avenue; 314-534-3663). Beginning this Friday, all able-bodied, drinking-age citizens are invited to come to the Cabaret Festival St. Louis to revel in song, dance and laughs all weekend long. Friday night launches with a bang at 8 p.m. with a performance from cabaret sensation Karen Mason, whose Broadway résumé includes Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia! and Hairspray. Saturday’s bill includes Barbara Fasano, Eric Comstock, Jason Graae and Rick Jensen, and the fest will close on Sunday with the Cabaret Conference Showcase, when no less than twenty St. Louis area singers take the stage. Tickets for Friday’s show are priced at $35. For more information, visit www.jazzbistrostl.com.
