William Shakespeare's As You Like It is famous for the memorable line "All the world's a stage," as well as its kaleidoscopic parade of hidden and mistaken identities, so what else could it inspire but a play about the high school years? Playwright Nancy Bell adapted her new one-hour play Good in Everything from As You Like It for this year's free Shakespeare in the Streets production, presented by Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. Good in Everything also draws some inspiration from the voluntary desegregation program Clayton High School pioneered in the early '80s, which sent many black city kids to the more pastoral suburbs of the county. The twin forces of relocation and re-creation loom large in Good in Everything, which features a cast of professional actors and local residents. The play is performed at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (September 18 through 20) on Central Avenue between Forsyth Boulevard and Maryland Avenue (314-531-9800 or www.sfstl.com). Admission is free.
