Twin StarsEveryone is fascinated by identical twins, and when a pair of them take the stage to do standup comedy in tandem, it really gets interesting. In the case of St. Louis- born Randy and Jason Sklar, the patter of their routines finds words cutting rapidly from person to person like some Queen song modulated to issue from the left and right speakers in funky patterns. They speak separately, they speak simultaneously; one uses a high voice and the other goes low. They are creative and quick, and you can't help but wonder how the supernatural connection that twins supposedly share has affected their shtick.

But you won't wonder where they got some of their material, which proudly parodies B-grade local commercials:

"Hey, this is Steve Mizerany here ... and we're here at WOW, Warehouse of Waterbeds. We're located next to the Gravois Bootery, Sundance Silver & Hide, the Bevo Mill and the Belz Fack'ry Outlet Mall out on Highway Farty-Fahr... Come on out this Saturday, when Jimmy the Midget is gonna be givin' out free hot dogs, bags of the Big Scoop Fritos and 2-liter bottles of the clear Pepsi.... We're open noon till 9 every night except for Sunday, 'cuz that's the Lahrd's day."

When they're not spreading the gospel of low-budget St. Louis advertising in comedy clubs across the land, they're doing TV, such as Comedy Central's current BattleBots fighting-robots show, movies and commercials.
