US vs. Ghana World Cup Match

How about those group stage games, huh? Despite some close calls -- and some horribly dodgy calls by various referees -- the U.S. Men's National Team has advanced to face the Black Stars of Ghana in the second round of the World Cup, thanks largely to the magical boot of Landon Donovan (not to mention the teamwork of hard-charging Clint Dempsey and Jozy "The Haitian Sensation" Altidore). When last these two teams met (in the group stages of the 2006 World Cup), Ghana handed the US a tough 2-1 defeat that knocked them out of the tournament. But now it's four years later, and this American team has shown an increased level of play coupled with a never-say-die attitude that has served them very well so far. That grittiness is going to be needed in this next round, because you go home if you lose. The US plays Ghana at 1:30 p.m. St. Louis time; click here for a list of bars and restaurants that will be screening the game.
