What A Racquet

The St. Louis Aces of the World Team Tennis League return to action this week with two games. On Thursday, July 2, they face the Boston Lobsters, and on Saturday, July 4, they play the New York Sportimes. The Independence Day match is also "I (Heart) St. Louis Night," which means toasted ravioli and ice cream for all — that's a straight-up deal. Games take place at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park (5620 Grand Center; 314-647-2237 or www.stlouisaces.com). Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and games begin at 7:15 p.m. The intervening 105 minutes are filled with the Aces famous "ultimate happy hour," featuring drink specials and food by LoRusso's Cucina. Tickets are $15 to $25, and they go quickly, so plan ahead. And if you can't make this week's games, there's always next week, when a little somebody named Anna Kournikova is scheduled to play.
