Percy Talbott is fresh out of prison and dreaming of a beautiful new home she's never seen. Inspired by a photo of autumn foliage cut out of a magazine, she heads to Gilead, Wisconsin, to start over. But Gilead has seen better days. The small town is economically depressed, and the citizens are clannish and bitter. Percy gets a job at the rundown Spitfire Grill, owned by the crusty widow Hannah. Hannah's been trying to sell her business for years, but there are no takers. Percy suggests raffling it off through an essay contest, winner take all. But are either of them really ready to give up on Gilead? Insight Theatre Company presents James Valcq and Fred Alley's musical
The Spitfire Grill, which was inspired by Lee David Zlotoff's film of the same name.
