Calling All Artists: PNC Foundation Wants to Give You $1 Million

Are you an artist with an idea for a concept that would "increase arts engagement and increase access among diverse audiences, underserved and/or economically disadvantaged communities"?

Do you have a Twitter account -- or have some other technology-friendly idea for promoting your concept?

If so, the PNC Foundation wants you. The nonprofit, which is affiliated with PNC Financial Services, plans to give away $1 million in grants over the next two years to both fine and performing artists in the Greater St. Louis area.

The application period for the PNC Arts Alive project begins today, so get cracking! (Full details are on the project's website, but suffice it to say, this is nothing to sneeze at: Grants start at $20,000.)

The only catch: The ideal project will -- and we quote -- "offer PNC distinct branding opportunities."

What, you didn't think they'd give away money solely for the sheer joy of it, did you?
