Let's face it: Man's best friend makes an adorable Wonder Woman.
It's not just the kids who get to trot out their finest costumes for Halloween this weekend — in Missouri, the dogs get dressed up too.
A new
survey from MilkBone and Milo's Kitchen has declared Missouri to be the No. 5 state in the nation when it comes to spoiling dogs for Halloween. In the survey of pet owners, a staggering 45 percent of Missouri respondents reported dressing up their dogs for the holiday. Thirty-three percent reported giving their pooches extra treats — and 16 percent even take their pups trick-or-treating.

We'd like to make fun of this practice. After all, man's best friend is a dignified creature, not just a docile fur-baby you can dress up just for kicks.
Except ... look how adorable they are in costumes! How could anyone be against something this hilarious?

So carry on, Missouri. Keep dolling up your dogs. And if a few more people get with the program, who knows? We might be No. 1 in 2015.
