Here's What Jon Hamm Looks Like as an Angel in His New Amazon Series

Posted By on Fri, Dec 1, 2017 at 6:46 AM

If you're prone to fangirling over John Hamm, prepare yourself.

As reported by publications including Buzzfeed, the St. Louis-born actor is starring as the angel Gabriel in the upcoming Amazon series Good Omens. The six-part series, due out in 2019, is an adaptation of the 1990 humor/fantasy novel of the same name. Co-author/showrunner Neil Gaiman has been tweeting behind-the-scenes looks at various characters for a while, and yesterday he threw Twitter (and, apparently, one Buzzfeed writer) into a tizzy by finally debuting a photo of Hamm in all his angelic glory.

Apparently Gaiman was pretty psyched about this moment himself, as he built anticipation with a couple dramatic tweets before posting the photo of the former John Burroughs teacher in his snazzy outfit.

At press time, the tweet had gathered 1,932 retweets and no less than 9,968 likes. It also cued plenty of enthusiastic commenters... well contrasting opinions about his shoes.

Hey, even Jon Hamm can't win over everyone. This angel revelation proves: There is always, always at least one holdout.
