Thirsty Missouri College Dude Emails Every Claudia to Find His Tinderella

Some say love ... it is a river. And those people are wrong. On Tinder — a dammed-up lake of late-night hormones and flagrant impulses — love is just a finger-twitch away, and even easier to lose forever if you accidentally swipe left instead of right.

Such was the predicament of Missouri State University freshman Hayden Moll, who was apparently so entranced by an MSU student/Tinder user named Claudia that he resorted to emailing every single Claudia in the university directory after accidentally swiping his disapproval — 22 Claudias in all.

And incredibly, the gambit worked! On Saturday, the correct Claudia tweeted a screenshot of the message, and the result went insanely viral. To date, it's been retweeted more than 23,000 times.

"Hello all Claudia's of Missouri State," Moll's message began, utilizing a  misused apostrophe that he repeated throughout the email.

The email continued:
First off, my name is Hayden, and I made a rookie mistake on Tinder. I accidentally swiped left on a Claudia's profile (left is bad) and I really wanted to swipe right. If Tinder provided last names this would be much easier but it doesn't, so I have to describe the profile to you.

I swiped left on a girl with the name Claudia. The age next to her name was 20, but in her bio it said she was actually 18 and she didn't know how to change it. The pictures she provided had some with her friends and her mom in them. In her bio she said some of her friends were single and if anyone liked them better that's fine but they couldn't have her mom. (had me dead btw 😂😂)

Playing his part as a modern-day Prince Charming, Moll then suggested the Claudias enact an ad-hoc version of Tinder — responding "left" or "right" to his email to indicate whether they were, in fact, the Claudia of his dreams.

"If you choose 'right' we could totally get some donuts or something," he suggested, "But if you choose 'left' that's cool too. No worries! If it's none of you Claudia's, and you know even more Claudia's, spread the word please. It would be much appreciated."

But as we knew immediately thanks to the magic of Twitter, Moll's shot actually found its target — Claudia Alley, a first-year political science major.

After Alley's tweet went viral, it took about a day for the news to reach Moll. Once again, he shot his shot.

So far, neither has indicated whether Alley gave Moll the rightward swipe he so desired. But at least we have to give the guy credit for persistence.

Moll's Twitter bio currently reads, "So I emailed a few Claudias."
