Come learn with us!

We're looking for a few exceptional student journalists to join our newsroom this summer. You'll get a chance to take the pulse of the city, to talk to creative St. Louisans about why they do what they do (and maybe even confront the powers that be with the same question). Working closely with an editor or our art director in a one-on-one mentorship, you'll get to write. You'll get to take photos. You'll get bylines and photo credits. And suffice it to say, the only coffee you'll fetch you'll be your own.

These internships are unpaid, but we're happy to work with your college for course credit, and no matter what, we'll keep your hours part-time so you can also pursue gainful employment. We'll work with your schedule.

If this sounds appealing, please send a cover letter, resume and three samples of published work to tips@riverfronttimes.com. Please specify whether you are most interested in photography, food writing, arts writing, digital media or news writing. A ranked list of a few favorites will increase your chances.

We'll need your materials by April 12.

Riverfront Times works for you, and your support is essential.

Our small but mighty local team works tirelessly to bring you high-quality, uncensored news and cultural coverage of St. Louis and beyond.

Unlike many newspapers, ours is free – and we'd like to keep it that way, because we believe, now more than ever, everyone deserves access to accurate, independent coverage of their community.

Whether it's a one-time acknowledgement of this article or an ongoing pledge, your support helps keep St. Louis' true free press free.
