UPDATE April 3, 2019: Since the date of the home opener has changed, the promo code has changed, too. Use the code "SHMBREDBIRDS19" on Friday between 7 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. for a $25 ride credit. If you already entered the old code, you need to go back into your Lyft app and enter this new code to redeem the credit. This post has been updated to reflect the new information. Have fun, St. Louis!

Drinking and driving is for jerks. Don’t bring shame to all of Cardinal Nation by getting plastered and then driving yourself home after the home opener this Friday, April 5.

Instead, be one of the Best Fans in Baseball and grab a free ride home after the game, courtesy of Lyft, Major Brands and 4 Hands Brewing Company.

The three companies have partnered to give Cardinals fans 500 free rides home from the stadium and surrounding downtown area on our local holy day, the kickoff to this year's baseball season in St. Louis.

In a press release, Major Brands CEO Sue McCollum said, “We want all Cards fans to make planning a safe ride home after baseball games a habit by offering a free ride home on Opening Day through our Safe Home After Every Occasion program. Thanks to 4 Hands and Lyft, this home opener will automatically prove a winner for promoting responsible consumption.”

To score one of the free Lyfts, use the code “SHMBREDBIRDS19” in your Lyft app. The first 500 fans to use it this Friday will be able to redeem it for a ride credit that can be used between 7 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Lyft will pick you up and drop you off any place within a two-mile radius of Busch Stadium for free.

Be a Fredbird, not a dead bird. Get a Lyft.
