Cardi B may not wear a cape on the reg, but good god she sure does deserve one. The superstar recently announced that she’s pregnant with her fourth child, her first with Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. She’s balancing motherhood, pregnancy, stardom, a romantic relationship, and tour preparation like it’s just another day, which supports my theory that she’s secretly Wonder Woman.
Cardi B was recently featured on CBS Mornings, where she confirmed for the world that she is indeed expecting a baby. This newest tiny human will make her a mom four times over, as she’s already the mother of three. This is, however, her first baby with her current partner, Stefon Diggs. Her timing could not be more impeccable, because she’s announced that she’s going to be bringing another baby into the world just in time to kick off her next tour. Some people can’t even plan an Amazon delivery this well, and here she is having a whole human while already prepping for life onstage after maternity leave.
The Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off in February, indicating that the rapper is planning to perform really freaking fast after giving birth. Stage lights, choreography, mic drops, and diaper duty all in the same season. Her stamina must be even stronger than that of athletes on major sports teams, because pregnancy and birth are NO JOKE, and she’s gone through the process enough now to know what she can and can’t handle. Wonder Woman’s got the invisible plane, Cardi’s got an unstoppable tour bus.
And because I know you’re curious… Stefon Diggs (dad, in this tale of womanly worship) recently made a career move and joined the New England Patriots. His early stats this season are nothing to sneeze at. Ten catches, 89 yards in his first two games? I’ll take it. When asked if he and his teammates would be celebrating his impending kiddo’s arrival in the locker room, he said “we’ll see.” Diggs is no stranger to the dad gig. He’s already the proud father of an 8-year-old daughter, so he knows the drill when it comes to preparing for an arrival. Is he in the thick of football season? Well, yes. But if Cardi can balance tour prep and three other children who are depending on her, I think he can manage.
