Ferguson: 10 Years Later

2024 is the 10th anniversary of the death of Michael Brown and subsequent civil unrest in Ferguson. The Kirkwood Human Rights Commission will host a panel discussion, "Ferguson: 10 Years Later," on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center featuring former Ferguson Commissioners who will discuss the implementation of the recommendations of their 2015 "Forward through Ferguson Report". The event will run from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM.Confirmed panelists include Commission Co-Chair Rich McClure, Alderman Rasheen Aldridge, Jr., Former SLMPD Chief Dr. Daniel Isom, and Sgt. Kevin Ahlbrand. Attendance is free.
