Spaghetti and meatballs at Sugo's Spaghetteria

No, Mario Batali hasn't taken up residence in the Valley. (He strikes me as more of a south city type, really.) Babbo's Spaghetteria is the new restaurant from Michael del Pietro, a companion to Sugo's Spaghetteria in Frontenac.

The menu is more or less identical to Sugo's and includes #90 on my list of favorite St. Louis dishes, the spaghetti and meatballs.

Babbo's is located at 17402 Chesterfield Airport Road; the phone number is 636-536-0000. The restaurant is open for lunch 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and for dinner 5-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Wonder what Molto Mario would say about the name, though....
