Baileys' Range held its soft opening this weekend at 920 Olive Street downtown. The latest venture from David Bailey is a burger joint as well as a commissary for his other restaurants (Baileys' Chocolate Bar, Rooster, The Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar)
The menu at Baileys' Range (link PDF) includes more than a dozen variations on the burger, including patties made from bison, lamb, chicken, pork sausage and vegetables.
The restaurant will also pit two new burgers against each other each
week. The better-selling burger returns to fight again the next week;
the loser is gone. The first battle pits a duck patty versus a burger
riff on the Philly cheesesteak.
A menu category called "snacks"
offers such dishes as chili cheese fries, cheese curds, chicken-liver
mousse and a roasted apple with bacon and blue cheese. There is also ice
cream made in-house.
The soft opening continues this Wednesday, October 19, through Sunday, October 23, from 5 p.m.-1 a.m., according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
Beginning Wednesday, October 26, regulars will be Wednesday through
Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Stay tuned to Gut Check for a more in-depth
"First Look" at Baileys' Range very soon.
